Lou Anne King Jensen
Lou Anne King Jensen is the Founder and President of the Chrest Foundation. She has worked or volunteered in a variety of capacities in the social services sector for over 28 years, although work on women’s issues has always been a priority for her. In addition to her duties as President of the Chrest Foundation, Ms. Jensen currently serves in the capacity of board member or advisor to several philanthropic entities and social service organizations; for example, those having an interest in diabetes research and in the distribution of college scholarships to underprivileged children.
Ms. Jensen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a Master of Science degree in Social Work, both from the University of Texas at Arlington, Arlington, Texas USA.
In addition to her community activities, Ms. Jensen shares parenting duties with her husband, Jeff, for their three children Haley, Chani, and William. Ms. Jensen is also a partner with her husband in several business ventures.
Jeffrey J. Jensen
Jeffrey J. Jensen is the Vice-President and a Director of the Chrest Foundation. Mr. Jensen is also the President and Owner of Specialized Association Services, which provides a full complement of marketing and administrative services to regional and national trade associations. Mr. Jensen holds equity interests and board positions in a number of private companies.
Mr. Jensen holds a Bachelor of Special Studies degree with majors in Economics and Business as well as Philosophy from Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa USA and also holds a Master of Science degree in Information Systems from the University of Texas at Arlington, Arlington, Texas USA. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma.
Mr. Jensen enjoys doing charitable work with his wife, Lou Anne, and family adventures with her and their three children.
Haley Jensen
Haley Jensen is the
Secretary and a Director of
the Chrest Foundation. Ms.
Jensen is also the President
and Owner of I Have a Yacht
in my Future, LLC, a
privately owned company that
makes strategic investments.
Ms. Jensen is currently
working on her Bachelor of
Arts degree in Political
Science at Southern
Methodist University in
Dallas, Texas USA. She is a
Senior and plans to graduate
in May 2009.
Ms. Jensen is also the first
third generation Jensen
family member to serve on a
Jensen family philanthropic
entity, continuing a
tradition of philanthropy
and giving that began with
the Chrest Foundation’s
founders’ parents.
Julie J. Jensen
Julie J. Jensen is the Treasurer and a Director of the Foundation. She and her late husband founded The Chasdrew Fund in 1997. The Chasdrew Fund is an operating foundation that provides pro bono technical assistance to a wide range of charities that are associated with disadvantaged youth. The Fund's work helps young people to develop their full potential and to become productive adults.
Ms. Jensen received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, from Grinnell College, Grinnell, Iowa USA as well as a Law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Columbia, Missouri USA. She completed her formal education at Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA, where she was awarded a Master of Laws in Taxation.
Ms. Jensen also serves as a Trustee for the The Jenesis Group, a more traditional family foundation based in Irving, Texas USA, as well as volunteers as a board member for several other non-profit organizations located throughout the country.
